Since March 2020 there has been a lot of discussion of the use of
Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), a drug used to treat malaria patients for decades, in the treatment of COVID-19 patients. Some doctors claim some very dramatic results in the use of HCQ solutions to treat their COVID-19 patients. In a poll of 6000 doctors treating their COVID-19 patients, the majority prefer the use of HCQ solutions.
The death rate in countries taking HCQ for malaria are as much as two orders of magnitude (100 times) less than in the US. It is a tragedy that the US FDA has not yet approved the use of HCQ solutions in the treatment of COVID-19 patients. Actual doctors are having good experience using HCQ to treat COVID-19 patients.
Ivermectin is also being used successfully by some doctors.
