THE ATTACHED OPEN LETTER HAS BEEN SENT TO SENATOR JOSEPH LIEBERMAN AND ALL LEADERS IN WASHINGTON, D.C. PLEASE HELP GET THE TRUTH ABOUT ABORTION OUT BY PUBLICIZING THIS OPEN LETTER TO SENATOR JOSEPH LIEBERMAN.
Dear Friends,
Over the last few weeks, as I listened to the rhetoric concerning the issue of abortion, I felt compelled to write the attached open letter to Senator Lieberman. The position taken by Senator Lieberman, a self-proclaimed Orthodox Jew, cannot go unchallenged. It is inconceivable to me that someone who speaks so openly about his faith would take the position he does on this very important issue of abortion. My letter clearly demonstrates that the facts are on our side – medical, theological and philosophical. We should take advantage of these facts and proclaim loudly and clearly that enough is enough. Now is the time to get the truth out there. Experience has shown that when enough people know the truth, they will take action – and their action will bear fruit.
This is my personal call to action. I have committed to seeing that this open letter to Senator Lieberman is sent to every U.S. Congressman and every U.S. Senator in Washington, D.C. A copy was first mailed to Senator Lieberman. On August 28 I personally handed a copy to House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert after his campaign speech in town. The other 540 letters have now been mailed out. I also intend to send/email a copy of this letter to a number of pro-life organizations to ask for their help in distributing this letter.
That’s where you come in. If you agree with, and are comfortable with, the content of my letter – will you distribute a copy of this letter to people you know? If everyone who cares about this issue would send this letter to those they know, and they in turn would do the same, the on-line U.S. population could be informed of the facts about abortion in no time.
Here are some suggestions:
- post the letter on a website
- email the letter to your acquaintances [NOTE: DO NOT SPAM!]
- email the letter to influential organizations in http://www.conservativeusa.org , etc.
- send copies to your state lawmakers, federal and state judges
- send another copy to Senator Joseph Lieberman
- send copies to your congressman and senators
- send copies to journalists, newspaper columnists, reporters
- send copies to your churches and synagogues
- send copies to “action groups” so that they in turn can publicize the letter.
